NFL Considering Draft Order Change
Posted on March 19, 2009 by James W
Philly.com is reporting that the NFL Owners are discussing changing the draft order for next year’s NFL draft. Currently spots 1-30 in the draft order are determined by the team’s regular season performance with the super bowl teams taking spots 31 and 32.
The proposal would leave spots for non-playoff teams the same but base the spots for the playoff teams on playoff performance. The article cites the Giants, who have the 29th pick this season, who were ousted by the Eagles, who hold the 21st pick. With the change the Giants would draft before the Eagles.
